Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Hebrews 12: 1-2 NKJV

Life is a marathon and not a hundred meters dash! To reach our destination, we must get rid of weight that slows us down and things that easily distracts us and focus on things that inspire and motivate us, things that serve as catalysts and impetus to the accomplishment of our dream.

Jesus has revealed to us and assured us of God’s “good pleasure to give us the kingdom.” For this to become experiential in our lives, we need to get rid of the dream killer – fear, quit comparing ourselves with others, stay on our lane and focus on our race, get rid of haste. Impatience is the bane of our age, we want everything fast, but God is a God of process and He has designed life to work in rhythmical sequence: “line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little and there a little,” “first the blade, then the ear and the full corn in the ear.” It is called process.

The blessings of process is that it helps you to develop your strength, your own personal experience of God’s faithfulness, it matures you spiritually, mentally, emotionally to be able to carry and withstand the pressure and the weight of success. It helps you to know what works and what doesn’t. It helps you to know God personally, it positions you to be able to inspire others and be a real and true role model.

What one thing have you learnt since this series began? Meditate on it, Hold on to it, pray it into your life, make the necessary decisions and the God of all grace will make His grace available to you.
