I will not drive them out from before you in one year, lest the land become desolate and the beasts of the field become too numerous for you. Little by little I will drive them out from before you, UNTIL YOU HAVE INCREASED, AND YOU INHERIT THE LAND.
Exodus 23: 29-30 NKJV
We started out on Tuesday with Luke 12:32 where Jesus revealed God’s intentions for us. Though, it is God’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom, He does not hand it over to you all at once. He allows you go through the process and conquer stage by stage.
The delay is for our benefit, because many of us are not spiritually, psychologically, intellectually and socially mature to handle what He has planned out for us, lest the blessing becomes a curse to us. God is mindful of our level of development. No good father will give his 8 years old a car key to drive. Jesus says “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now” (John 16:12 NKJV). The problem is not with God’s willingness to give, the problem is with our readiness to receive.
“Now I say that the heir, as long as he is a child, does not differ at all from a slave, though he is master of all” (Galatians 4:1 NKJV). There is a kingdom reserved for you, your place of authority, dominion and reigning in life. That place where you call the shots, where you eat without scarcity and you dip your feet in oil, where you call one and thousands respond to you. You don’t hope it will come one day, you don’t politic for it, you don’t manipulate for it, neither do you beg for it, but rather you GROW into it. It is time we focus on “being” than on having.
