“An inheritance gained hastily at the beginning will not be blessed at the end.”

Proverbs 20:21 NKJV

“That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.”

Hebrews 6:12 KJV

Yesterday, we learnt that God is a God of process and He will often start with us with the blade. No child is born fully mature, walking and talking. The first step to walking for any child is learning how to sit, then to crawl, then those little feeble steps accompanied with lots of falls eventually evolve into surer struts. Now, that was how we all started. Our inability to appreciate this process is what brings frustration.

Why people get frustrated with process is comparison; you compare yourself with others without understanding the efforts behind their success and the tears behind their smiles. Comparison births impatience which leads to circumventing the process.

Another challenge we are faced with today is wrong teachings. Wrong teachings emphasize results without due process, promotion in spite of ineptitude, it says “if it takes your effort and time then it’s not God,” “when it is difficult and challenging it can’t be grace,” “then something must be wrong with you.” It emphasizes the NOW-NOW God, “Jehovah sharp-sharp.” This in turn puts a lot of pressure on us to get results at all cost, by hook or crook. This leads to lies, deception, manipulation and all kinds of sharp practices.

Stop comparing yourself, stay in your lane, run your race, stay the course. Faith, Focus and Consistency bring the full harvest and guarantee success.
