Then He said, “Assuredly, I say to you, no prophet is accepted in his own country. But I tell you truly, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, and there was a great famine throughout all the land; but to none of them was Elijah sent except to Zarephath, in the region of Sidon, to a woman who was a widow.

Luke 4:24-26 NKJV

Need does not necessarily determine the supply of God’s power in your life. Neither does availability of the power guarantee the manifestation of the power of God to meet your need. Rather, what provokes the manifestation of God’s power is your demand on it.

Whenever we gather together to worship God and fellowship with Him the Power of God is always available to meet any and every need (Luke 5:17 NKJV), but it is our expectations that activate the flow of virtue, it is our faith that releases the supply of the Spirit of God in our gathering.

Oftentimes church folks, because of over familiarity with church order of service, miss out on the opportunity to get our needs met. There were many widows in Israel, but to none was the prophet sent, but to the woman who valued the word of God, honored the prophet of God and with faith acted on the word of God. The power of God gravitates towards expectations of faith and regard for His Word.

As you go to church this morning make a shift in your heart concerning how you receive God’s Word, set your expectations and release your faith and you will experience the manifestation of God’s presence and power in Jesus name. Happy Sunday.
