Christ’s victory over Satan in the wilderness was established on faith in His relationship with the Father and the knowledge of the scriptures regarding it. What feeds my sense of identity is not natural things, what feeds and justifies my identity is the Word of God. I live by what God’s word says and not by what I do, think, sees or feels. I’m what the Word says I’m regardless of my circumstance

Therefore, the victory that overcomes the world is our faith in the son-ship of Christ and our son-ship. This is the victory that overcomes the world even our faith. Whatever the devil brings your way, as long as your faith in Christ is rooted, the devil will always be defeated every time he comes. If he can convince you otherwise, then he has you where he wants you.

Your knowledge of who Christ is, all He did and what that meant to Satan, the world and for you is the determinant of your faith and your faith is a prerequisite for victory. Therefore, we are to pursue the knowledge of who He is and who we are in Him.
