Therefore be imitators of God as dear children.

Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.

John 5:19 NKJV.

We are born of God and we have the nature of God. The very essence of God resides on the inside of us. When you receive Christ, you’re not only forgiven of your sin, you’re rid of the very sin nature and you’re given the very nature of God. The divine nature is in you. Hallelujah!!! You have an infinite potential and capacity to live exactly like God on earth, because we’re made of the material of God in Christ Jesus. 

The major reason why we have not experienced it yet is that we have not majored on it, we have little knowledge or understanding of it. You see, you cannot desire and aspire to be what you don’t know exists. If you don’t know iPhone 12 exists you cannot desire it. If you don’t know you could fly you can’t aspire to do so. There’s therefore need for us to know what we received at salvation. It’s more than just the forgiveness of sin, it’s the very nature of God. 

Jesus walked in the consciousness of His relationship with God as His Father and this consciousness set Him on the path of being a true representation of everything the Father was here on earth. We need to know who we are, who our Father is and who we are as His children. Only then can we truly represent Him as Christ did.
