And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

Romans 8:28 NKJV

Continued from yesterday…

If you love God and live in line with His purpose for your life, whatever the enemy throws at you will be turned in your favor. Joseph later confirmed this fact when he spoke to his brothers who sold him into slavery, “But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive” (Genesis 50:20 NKJV).

Paul also alluded to this truth in his writing to the Philippian church, “But I want you to know, brethren, that the things which happened to me have actually turned out for the furtherance of the gospel,” (Philippians 1:12 NKJV).

When you’re living in God’s purpose for your life, living in obedience to His Word and calling for your life, the enemy will often strike and seek to dissuade, discourage, and distract you. The devil will bring many challenges your way for the Word’s sake. He will cause many things to go wrong and stir many people against you, you may even trip and stagger here and there. You may need to endure some hardship, go through some trials, experience some unpleasant moments. You might be misconstrued, misunderstood, abused and abandoned by friends and loved ones. Things may appear tight and difficult, however if you hold onto God’s Word and refuse to yield to Satan’s lies, cruelty and deceptions, God will ultimately cause everything to work in your favor. When the enemy thinks he has got you, God has the last joker.

Jesus was betrayed, denied justice, humiliated and crucified. He had opportunities to turn back, He was tempted too. He prayed for deliverance, but ultimately chose to follow God’s path for His life, He chose to fulfill God’s purpose. He submitted Himself to God, to God’s will and God’s preference and chose to die on the cross. But the scripture says, “Which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory” (I Corinthians 2:8 NKJV). Satan’s seeming victory ended up in total defeat and had-I-known for him. This is what is guaranteed you when you love God and live in tandem with His purpose for your life.
