Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.

I Peter 5:8-9 NKJV

Our fight is not a fight to get, it is a fight to keep. To keep what Christ has already obtained for us. The first step to successfully engage in this fight is the knowledge of what Christ has obtained for us. The second step is our knowledge of the nature of our adversary (Satan).Thirdly, we need to understand the kind of battle we are engaged in. And lastly, we need to understand our arsenal.

Most of the time when we pray, we approach God as if He is denying us some things, meanwhile He has given us all things freely without holding back. Please know that God is not only willing but He has already given us all things that pertain to life and godliness.

Also know that Satan, our adversary, has been defeated. Therefore, we enter the place of spiritual battle with the consciousness of victory, not that we will win but that Christ has already won for us even before the battle began.

Why then do we need to fight?

We only fight to hold the line. To refuse to concede any part of the land Christ has already won for us against every encroachment.

For example, you are already healed. When you feel sick in your body, it is nothing but an attempt of the devil to encroach on a victory that Christ has already given you.

The fight you therefore need to fight is to resist the devil and insist on your health status. You are not trying to get God to heal you, you are only insisting on your health status in Christ Jesus against an attempt of the devil to steal it from you.

Keep resisting and keep insisting. Don’t yield, don’t accept defeat.  HOLD THE LINE…
