Hello! And Happy New Year!!!
Everything we are looking for is in God. For ALL His Children, God has great plans and He wants us to walk in the fullness of it. “I know the thoughts I have for you; thoughts of good and not of evil to give you a hope and a future.” But there’s also the devil who is going about like a roaring lion and our flesh, that is, our natural human weaknesses that the devil seeks to exploit and take advantage of in order to hinder God’s purposes in our lives.
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.
I Corinthians 2:12
Hallelujah!!! Praise God. Yesterday we learnt that God has purchased and provided us with a goodly heritage in Christ Jesus. Today the scriptures says the Holy Spirit has been given to us for the purpose of knowing, coming to the understanding, realization and awareness of this goodly heritage, those things that God has gratuitously, freely, unconditionally, and without prejudice or bias given unto us.
Two things I want us to know in this scriptures is that:
- God has freely given us all things (2 Peter 1:3; 1 Corinthians 3:21).
- The Holy Spirit has been given to us to reveal those things to us.
Jesus announcing the coming and the function of the Holy Spirit said, “He will take the things of me and show it to you” (John 16:14).
Today, as you continue in the New Year, take time to ask God to make known to you the things that are freely yours, today’s benefit and indeed those of 2022 reserved for you.
Jesus lamented over Jerusalem saying, “If you had known, even you, especially in this your day, the things that make for your peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes.”
I pray for you today that the things (ideas, connections, relationship, opportunity, insights, choices, steps, customers, clients) meant for your joy, progress, increase, and peace today and in the rest of the year are revealed to you in Jesus’ name. Your mind will be open, your heart receptive, and your understanding alert to receive His fullness for your life in Jesus’ name. You will walk in the fullness of His plan and provision for your life in Jesus name.
