“So you are going to be our king, are you?” his brothers taunted. And they hated him all the more for his dream and what he had said.
Genesis 37:8 NLT
Joseph was one man who experienced severe birth pangs (pain associated with the birth, growth and development of a child, an idea, a project and or the next level of life) on his journey to fulfilling destiny.
He was hated for his father’s love for him. As a believer, when you live in the consciousness of God’s love for you, the devil will be envious and his hate for you will be aggravated. He will manipulate the systems of this world to frustrate you. He will heap loads of challenges on you to prove you wrong about God’s love, to convince you that God doesn’t really love you or that God’s love for you means nothing. He does this so you would abandon your consciousness of God’s love toward you and become conscious of Satan and his works. He beclouds your image of God and fills your mind with images of failure, challenges, and difficulties.
Joseph was also hated for his dream. He was hated for his vision. People will look down on you, remind you of your limitations, pedigree, and give you reasons why you can’t make it.
And it doesn’t simply stop at this, there’s more. To be continued…
