All men are grass and glory like the flowers, the grass withers and the flower falls, but the Word of God lives and abides forever.

Isaiah 40:7-8 (paraphrased)

Every other thing will fail and collapse, and so is everything built on them, but anything built on the Word will be sustained and maintained by the Word. They will live and abide forever. Such homes and marriages will survive difficult times, they might be rocked but will stand, the rains may flood it, the wind of lust, greed, financial crises may blow upon it but it will float. Economic down turn may shake such businesses but they will not only survive, they will thrive, they will outlast any crisis.

Don’t envy him who brings evil plans to bear, consider their end, don’t be lured away from the ark, by those who seem to be doing well in spite of their evil schemes, stay in the ark. Don’t be lured into speaking the language of failure and defeat in an attempt to be politically correct, intellectually sound and socially acceptable. Forget temporary acceptability, embrace eternal celebrations, chose to speak the Word of God only.
