And it happened when He was in a certain city, that behold, a man who was full of leprosy saw Jesus; and he fell on his face and implored Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” Then He put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately the leprosy left him.

Luke 5:12-13 NKJV

Now He did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

Matthew 13:58 NKJV

Today we have developed all kinds of explanations, theories and philosophies around unanswered prayers, the miraculous, the supernatural, etc. to excuse our failure to walk in them or experience them.

Throughout the Gospel, we see Jesus meeting the most challenging needs and the only thing that sometimes limited God’s power is the people’s unbelief. Faith was also celebrated several times by Jesus as responsible for the miracle certain people received.

Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. The same Jesus that heals the sick, meets needs and transforms lives is the same you go to meet in church every Sunday.

He was willing yesterday, He is willing today. He did it yesterday, He will do it again. Unbelief limited yesterday, it will limit Him today. Faith released His power yesterday, it will do the same today. The power of God was available to heal yesterday and like today many great things are not happening because of the people’s unbelief.

Therefore, as you go about your day today, know that God is willing to meet your particular need, know that the power of God is available to change your story, don’t become familiar with the status quo, expect the miraculous.

Believe and you shall see the glory of God.

Have a testimony filled day in Jesus name.
