Now all the earth SOUGHT THE PRESENCE OF SOLOMON to hear his wisdom, WHICH GOD HAD PUT IN HIS HEART. Each man brought his present: articles of silver and gold, garments, armor, spices, horses, and mules, at a set rate year by year.

I Kings 10: 24-25 NKJV

Every one of us to one degree or another desires and seeks to be rich, successful, relevant and to live a prosperous life. God has also made a covenant to prosper us. Deut. 8:18 “….  for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant…” In order for God to fulfill His covenant of prosperity to us, He gave us power to get wealth. Notice, He does not give us wealth, rather He GIVES US POWER TO GET. How does He do it, He does it by putting something in our heart that the world will seek and pay for, something with which we can get and attract wealth to ourselves.

He puts in us an idea, a concept, a dream, a design, a book, a story, a song, a product, a distinct method of solving problems or doing things, a vision, etc. Notice our text, “All the earth sought the presence of Solomon IN ORDER to hear his wisdom which God had put in his heart.” They were not seeking Solomon for Solomon’s sake, they sought him for what he carried, what he had to offer, what they could benefit from him. What do you have to offer? What has God put in your heart? What wisdom, ingenuity, idea, concept, method or creativity has God put in your heart? What can people benefit from you? What is that thing God has deposited in you that you can mine to benefit the world and enrich yourself?

I have seen people abandon their area of calling in pursuit of money and comfort, not knowing it is that thing God has put in them that will bring the money and comfort they desire. Rather than focusing on what to get, begin to focus on what to give and what to offer. What do I have to offer? When they came to hear, they also brought with them gold and other valuables. Money comes to those who have something of value to offer. Don’t look for money, offer value and money will come looking for you. Men came from all over the world with their substance at a set rate, a set price just to hear the wisdom God had put in his heart. Solomon became rich by cultivating and offering what God has put in his heart.

There are people who need and will pay anything to be blessed by what you carry, God will cause your paths to cross, your gift will attract them, your gift will be supernaturally advertised, and it will gain the attention and the attraction of the world in Jesus’ name.
