Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
Mark 9:23 NKJV
It is not enough to be talented, gifted and intelligent in order to be successful. You need to BELIEVE. Believe in your dream, in yourself and in God’s plan for your life. It is good when you have people who believe in you, but their lack of faith in you is absolutely inconsequential when your own faith in yourself is in place. The scripture above didn’t say all things are possible to him whom people believe in, but all things are possible to him who believes.
If you don’t believe in yourself, you won’t have the passion to work on the required skill set to succeed, you won’t have the doggedness to keep at it, you won’t have the stamina to hold on, the courage to be daring. Believing in the power of your dream releases the energy to pursue your dream, endure shame & overcome challenges, it helps you to see obstacles differently, and you see opportunity where others see impossibilities. You wake up each day with new energy and a fresh reason to go out, to strive, to try again. Faith in your dream makes you to live life passionately. It gives you a burst of energy.
You don’t see the whole picture or know all the answers, yet you are willing to risk all and take chances. That’s Faith. “Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase” (Martin Luther King, Jr.). The force of faith releases an unbeatable energy into you. You need an amazing energy to pursue opportunities, overcome challenges, glide over obstacles and strive for that image within that only you can see.
Faith is not a religious word, it is a principle for living and all who have achieved or accomplished anything on earth have demonstrated it. Other success factors may be beyond your control, but faith in yourself is a force within your control. When you cultivate and develop it, it will in turn control all other things beyond your control to work for you.
