“And that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.”
II Timothy 3:15 NKJV
The word ‘Salvation’ as used in the above scripture is from the Greek word soteria which means deliverance, wholeness, well-being, safety, prosperity, preservation, salvation, healing.
When we are in a bad situation, it can become more frustrating if we don’t know what to do to get out or make things better. Wisdom to get out is just what we need at that time. Now the above text says that the scriptures is able to make one wise for salvation. It means the word of God is able to give one wisdom, practical insight to come out of a bad situation, experience or give one the wisdom to experience well-being, prosperity, wholeness etc. Loaded in the Word are insights, information, revelation, divine truth to guide one through any circumstance of life. When we don’t study the word of God we forfeit wisdom for our deliverance from unwanted situation.
The bible is not a religious book, it is the book of life filled with practical insights for prosperous, victorious and wholesome living. If we will change our view concerning the word of God and approach it as manual for life written by the most loving Father for our benefit, we will gain new insights for living that will turn our lives around.
Whatever your situation or condition, wisdom for salvation, deliverance, safety, prosperity, wholeness, awaits you in the scriptures. Men that are about to commit suicide, soldiers at war fronts, marriages at the brink have been known to be transformed by just one verse as they turned to it. Addictions have been broken, fear replaced with faith, the hopeless became hopeful, incurable diseases healed as men turned to read the word.
I pray as you turn the pages of God’s word in whatever area of life you need salvation, the Holy Spirit will lead you to the right scriptures and you will gain the wisdom that will turn your life, business, marriage, career and health around in Jesus name.
