Now the Lord said to Joshua: “Do not be afraid, nor be dismayed; take all the people of war with you, and arise, go up to Ai. See, I have given into your hand the king of Ai, his people, his city, and his land.

Joshua 8:1 NKJV

Joshua’s army had conquered great and powerful kingdoms: the great wall of Jericho had fallen, their morale was high and confidence level was great. It was one victory after another. They were invincible. With that confidence they attacked Ai, a small town but they were badly defeated. It was a rude shock and a wake-up call. They soon realized it had not been by their power or skill. Their hearts became like water. They sought God as to the reason why they were not seeing the promises fulfilled in their life. Failure is not normal for a covenant people of God. They were operating outside the covenant.

Your failure is not final. Your failure is not an indication it is not the will of God. Rather than accept defeat or succumb to failure, seek the face of God for direction. He will guide you. He will show you a way out. Where you have once failed you will experience uncommon success. You will break records. Where you were once rejected, you will be celebrated. As you seek the face of God, He will fix your self-reliance, fix your heart, take care of your ignorance, fill you with knowledge and wisdom, and bring you to the path of perpetual victory.

Stop rehearsing your past failures, defeat and rejection. Walk in the consciousness of God’s mercy and grace. God has gone ahead of you and given you the victory. “… See, I have given into your hand the king of Ai, his people, his city, and his land.”  See yourself victorious, Develop the image of a great comeback. See it in your mind.

There is a great comeback for you. It doesn’t matter why you have failed before, this time around you will succeed and your success will resound.
