The centurion answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.
Matthew 8:8 NKJV
By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.
Hebrews 11:3 NKJV
Our words are powerful, they shape our world. The things we say have powerful effects on things that happen to us. In Mark’s gospel chapter 11 verse 23 Jesus said, “You shall have what you say.”
No matter what goes on around us, let’s maintain our positive confessions. Speaking God’s Word is not denying the situation. For example, it is not saying “I am not sick,” rather it is saying “I am healed by His stripes.” It is not saying “nothing is wrong with me,” it is saying “all is well with me.” One denies what’s happening to you, the other affirms what the Word of God says.
Speaking the Word is not denying your experience: “I am not broke.” Speaking the word is affirming God’s Word – “I am rich.” One focuses on what the enemy is doing, the other focuses on what God has done.
The pressure to speak what we see, what we feel, what we fear, what is going on in our lives and what everyone is saying is very high. This pressure is of the devil, because that’s the only way he can perpetuate the negative experiences in our lives.
What do you want to see? The way to change what we are seeing is to change what we are saying. Speak the Word only and you will transform the experiences and outcomes of your life. Go into the bible today, search for the verses that speak concerning your particular situation and begin to declare them over your life. Keep saying them until you begin to see them.
