“I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees You.
Job 42:5 NKJV
That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life
I John 1:1 NKJV
In a law court a witness is one who has seen or experienced something and is therefore qualified to testify to it. How can you testify to what you have not experienced? And how can you experience what you have not given yourself the chance to?
You can never testify to God’s healing power when you’ve never fallen sick and been healed by Him. You cannot talk about God’s supernatural provision if you’ve never been broke and yet been provided for, neither can you testify to God’s love and mercy when you are perfect and deserving of everything.
Beloved, your struggles, challenges, situation, needs, fear, failures, weakness, mess etc. are opportunities to experience God’s touch, love and power in your life. Wherever you are in life, whatever you’ve done and whatever you’re going through, give yourself an opportunity to experience God and become a witness of God’s goodness in that area.
Sarah, Hannah are witnesses to supernatural childbirth (miracle babies). David, the woman caught in adultery, Paul the Apostle; are all witnesses to the forgiving power of God. Blind Barthemeaus, the woman with the issue of blood, Jairus’s daughter; are all witnesses to the healing power of God. What all these people had in common is that they came to God just as they are. They dared to believe God.
God gets no credit from a life you’ve earned by your own righteousness. Approach Him with your imperfections, limitations, flaws, fears, weaknesses and needs, and experience God’s Love and transforming power. Your particular situation is an opportunity for God to demonstrate His love towards you.
Choose to come! Dare to believe!! Embrace His love, become a witness and not just a ‘hearsay-er’ or an informant.
