We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:

Whenever God wants to do something in our lives, either in response to our prayers or as part of His plans for our lives, He always often sends His Word. The Word of God always precedes the act of God. The purpose of this is not only to reveal His will but much more to birth faith in our hearts. 

Until faith is released on the part of man, heaven seems powerless and helpless to do its Work in us and for us. “Without faith it is impossible to please God.” Faith is the force that releases heaven’s possibilities here on earth. Doing the impossible is common place with God, but agreeing with God like Mary did is what is often lacking with man. “Be it unto me according to your Word.” Faith is the hand that receives what grace has provided.
