For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them. And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey. Then he who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents. And likewise he who had received two gained two more also. But he who had received one went and dug in the ground, and hid his Lord’s money. Then he who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed. And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours.’
Matthew 25:14-18, 24-25 NKJV
You can give a man millions of dollars, but you can’t make him a millionaire. It is not the money given to a man, but what the man does with the money that determines whether he will be rich, wealthy, average or even broke. What a man does with an opportunity is determined by the quality of who he is.
It is not the opportunity given to a man that changes his life, but what he does with the opportunity. What he does with the opportunity is determined by who he is: his perspective, his values, his level of discipline, his level of focus, his level of knowledge, his readiness etc.
Gifts, talents, money and opportunities are enhancers of success and play vital roles in the achievement of life goals, however it’s only those who have the innate quality of success that make the best use of them.
The resources take the shape of the inner you. Give challenges to a man that is a success on the inside of him, he will turn it into an opportunity to unleash his creativity to turn the situation around, give an indolent man an opportunity and he will find a problem with it.
