So many people desire a turnaround in their lives especially when they fall into diverse challenges. But they don’t exactly know how to bring about what they so keenly desire. There are a number of common reactions that people have whenever they are going through challenges. In no particular order, here they are:
- They sit and complain to whoever cares enough to listen and whip up sentiments.
- They blame someone and everyone for what they’re going through; their parents, the government, the country, their handicaps, their lack of connections, their past mistakes. “I have such bad luck,” you often hear them say.
- They wait for change to occur one way or another without doing anything about it. They fail to realize that time doesn’t change things, things don’t get well with time. Rather, they grow worse. Things only get better with time when we engage them positively over time.
- They become complacent about life and are full of excuses. “Let us eat and drink for tomorrow we die,” is their mantra.
- Others spend so much time focusing on the source, reasons and people behind their predicament with little or no effort spent finding out what to do.
- Many run helter-skelter doing nothing in particular.
All of the above just goes to show that there’s a huge tendency for you to worry yourself out and do nothing productive towards enacting a turnaround when you fall into unpleasant challenges. But that’s not the answer and in fact, it is very far from the solution. A turnaround does not occur that way.
