For wisdom is a defense as money is a defense. But the excellence of knowledge is that wisdom gives life to those who have it.
Ecclesiastes 7:12 NKJV
A ship owner whose ship engine wouldn’t start after several engineers had worked on it got an old man who after careful examination only gently tapped his hammer on something and the ship came alive. He charged a thousand dollars and his invoice read:
- Tapping with a hammer: $2.00.
- Knowing where to tap: $9,998.00.
Knowledge helps your productivity and causes your efforts to count. “Effort is important, but knowing where to make an effort makes all the difference!” – Faiz Noor.
The scriptures therefore instruct us to give all diligence to add knowledge to our Faith. We have to go out of our way to get knowledge; enroll for a training, attend a seminar, go for conferences, read books, interacts with superior minds, ask questions and make research. It will elevate your thinking and enhance your productivity and as a result, your walk with God will gain further expression and make better impact. And you will hear Him say “Well done good and faithful servant!”
