God is not the one who brings sickness and disease, that would only make Him a law breaker. He is not responsible for your challenges. He is not the author of confusion. We often ascribe things we can’t explain and don’t understand to God, because we have erroneous misconceptions about the His sovereignty.

It is the devil that comes to steal, kill and destroy. Jesus came that you may have life and have it in abundance. Your enemy the devil is going about like a roaring lion seeking whom to devour. It is the devil that seeks to destroy and not God.

God gave us two teachers to educate us – His Word and the Holy Spirit. You may learn in the crisis and challenges, you may even come to respond positively to it, but God is not the one who planted it in your life in order to use it to teach you something. What He does is that He makes sure that all things work together for your good, even the things that the devil intended for your hurt.

He doesn’t create negative situations. Therefore, we don’t thank God ‘for’ all things, rather we thank Him ‘in’ and ‘in spite of’ all things.
