Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.
Hebrews 7:25 NKJV
If only in the time of peace we feel secure and hopeful in God, then it’s because our faith is not rooted or our confidence in God is lacking and our knowledge of God’s love and ability is limited. In peace or war time, God is our everlasting refuge. We need this truth to sink down into our hearts and take a residency in our soul.
His ability to save us transcends the area of our soul or just ‘spiritual matters’. The scripture says “He is able to save us to the uttermost.” I like to use a colloquial expression – “He is able to save us to the last extended.” In other words to whatever extent. He is able to save us from our mistakes, from our past, from our bad habits, from our hereditary challenges. He is able to go so deep and so far, to the past and the future, to the roots of the problem and snatch us free.
He is able to save us from economic hardship and insecurity. He is able to deliver us from becoming the victim of bad leadership, from social ills, he is able to save us from those stronger than us, smarter than us. He is able to deliver us from the hands of wicked and unreasonable men, from terrorists, bandits, sudden calamity etc. Nothing is exempted, no area is left out, social or spiritual, physical or psychological, emotional or financial, marital or career.
He is able to deliver us from those determined to destroy us.
Therefore, quit the fear, the worry, the anxiety, the needless sleepless nights. Stop running from pillar to post, and come to God through Him who loved you enough to offer up His life to save you, heal you, keep and preserve you. He is constantly standing in the gap for you, presenting His blood to plead your case, reminding God and Satan that the sacrifice has been made, His blood has been shed and the price has been fully paid to guarantee your total safety and deliverance. He won’t stop until you live the fullness of redemption in Christ Jesus.
