A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; BUT IT SHALL NOT COME NEAR YOU. Only with your eyes shall you look, and see the reward of the wicked. Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge. Even the Most High, your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;

Psalms 91: 7-10 NKJV

We live in a challenging world today, with all the health issues, deaths, bankruptcy, terrorism, banditry, food crisis, inflations, wars etc. With all the bad news going round, the faith of many are becoming weak, more and more people are beginning to look at the numbers to analyze their safety, security and position, especially when things begin to happen to people we love or we least expect. You begin to hear things like “who is safe?” ”Nobody is safe.” “Who is next?” “It can happen to anybody.” Then you begin to be filled with negative thoughts and sometimes negative expectations. The numbers are rising and the war seems to be drawing nearer and nearer home.

Here is what God has to say about the numbers, “a thousand may fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand but it will not come near you.” The frequency, the figures and proximity do not determine your security or your vulnerability. As long as you have made the most high your dwelling place, the danger may come so close and consume lots of people, only with your eyes you will see it, you won’t partake of it. It is not permitted to touch you. There is a “touch not” injunction over your life.

Therefore, quit focusing on the statistics of men your age coming down with sickness, or women your race afflicted with crisis, the number of businesses closing down, or how many people are suffering this inflation. Your job is to make the Most High your dwelling place. No plague of whatever kind is coming near your dwelling. No evil will befall you and your household, because the Lord is your refuge.

There is a mark of the blood of Jesus over your life that prevents you from being a victim. There is the authority in the name of Jesus with which you forbid evil on earth and heaven goes to work on your behalf.
