For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV

In a world filled with crime, evil, wickedness, fear and uncertainty, surrounded with bad news everywhere, besieged by unthinkable happenings, it’s natural for negative thoughts to assail your mind based on happenings. As a person of faith, Satan will attempt to trick you to open the door of your mind to accept a helpless, vulnerable and victim mentality.

However, when negative, destructive, vengeful thoughts or ideas come to your mind about yourself under whatever guise or reason, just know that it does not represent God’s nature, attitude, posture and thoughts towards you.

The devil will give you justification, and strong reasons to accept his agenda for your life, pointing to your flaws, mistakes, and failings. Tell him, “No one can bring a charge against God’s elect. It is God who acquits and pronounces justified. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. Because the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death” (Romans 8: 33-34, 1-2 NKJV).
