This is the victory that overcomes the world even our Faith; our faith in the Word of God that God answers our prayers, in spite of the fact that the object of our request has not appeared, we are firmly built in the fact that the Word of God says we have what we asked for, that there’s nothing too big for us to have, there’s nothing God can’t give since He has already given us Jesus. If God did not withhold His only begotten son from us how shall He not also freely give us all things, our faith in the fact that all things are already ours even when nothing is in our pocket and possession.
Our faith in the finished works of Christ in spite of contrary experience.
Therefore we need to fight the good fight of faith, which is accepting and affirming what the Word says concerning our situation, concerning what God has said about a thing in spite of contrary experience, circumstances and feelings. It is resisting every thought, every notion, every appearance, word, analysis that is contrary to what the Word says and insisting firmly on what the Word says no matter what the physical condition and circumstances suggest, or our feelings say. This is the fight we must fight, the fight for our faith, the fight for our belief in the Love of God, in the Word of God, the Works of Christ for us in the face of things, experience, circumstances, feelings, reports, temporary outcomes that suggest realities contrary to God’s Word.
They come in our thoughts. Satan bombards our minds with his lies, pressures our mouth to acknowledge and affirm his suggestion, the scriptures tell us what to do “casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,” (II Corinthians 10:5 NKJV).
When they come we are to bring them down, they won’t go down easily but we are to continue to affirm the word of God. Jesus showed us how to do it so let’s practice and perfect this habit.
