Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Matthew 6:10 NKJV

Epaphras, who is one of you, a bondservant of Christ, greets you, always laboring fervently for you in prayers, that you may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.

Colossians 4:12 NKJV

Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the  will  of God.

Romans 8:27 NKJV

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

1 John 5:14-15 NKJV

God does not change, His will is eternal. He says “I’m the Lord I changeth not.” Therefore God’s original plan for man has not changed.

When Jesus taught us “Let your will be done on earth as it is heaven,” it means God’s will as it is in heaven is not exactly what’s be done on earth. It suggests what’s happening on earth is not exactly God’s will, but for God’s will to be done on earth as it is being done in heaven, man needs to pray and to specifically request God’s will be done on earth as it appears in heaven.

It also means God has a will in heaven designed for the earth. He told Moses to build according to the pattern shown to him in heaven. God is saying let the earth structure fit into the heaven’s design.

But you may wonder that since at inception, God’s original design was put in place, what has now changed? The answer is simple – Satan and his influence on the earth. He is always constantly working against the will of God on the earth and in the life of the believer.
