So ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound—think of it—for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath?”

Luke 13:16 NKJV

Who bound her? Satan did. Who did he bind? A daughter of Abraham. Why was Jesus concerned? Because her condition is contrary to the Abrahamic covenant of God’s preservation, healing and health. It is a dishonor to the covenant of healing and health as contained in the Abrahamic covenant. It is a taboo for Abraham’s children to be in bondage. It is against the will of God in the covenant. It ought to be fought against vehemently, not to be condoned. Healing her was in agreement with God’s will as contained in the covenant. It didn’t matter to Christ whether she committed sin or not and if she did her sins would be forgiven and so she could be made free from Satan’s oppression.

Then David spoke to the men who stood by him, saying, “What shall be done for the man who kills this Philistine and takes away the reproach from Israel? For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?” Your servant has killed both lion and bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, seeing he has defied the armies of the living God.” Moreover David said, “The Lord, who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.” And Saul said to David, “Go, and the Lord be with you!” Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.

I Samuel 17:26, 36-37, 45 NKJV

David recognized Goliath’s challenge as a reproach to the covenant. A reproach to the will of God as contained in the Abrahamic covenant. The harassment, the intimidations, the threat, was a direct affront to the covenant. For an uncircumcised person, an alien to the commonwealth of Israel, without hope and without God to confront and challenge a covenant child of God is a challenge against God, anything of such is against the will of God. It is suicidal.

But the enemy will continue to harass you and even imprison you if you don’t know the content of the covenant. If you don’t know the will of God concerning your life, Satan will hand you an inferior life and living and you will accept. But when you know like David knew, you won’t take it, you will fight it and God will back His Will concerning you. When you align yourself with the will of God you can stand against everything contrary to the will of God in your life. When you stand in the will of God, in the word of God, you’re untouchable by the enemy and you have God and the host of heaven fighting for you. You will always win every battle and overcome every adversary.
