In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void, and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.

Genesis 1:1-3 NKJV

Oftentimes when things go wrong in our business, our marriage, our lives, or in any project we are involved with, we are quick to think ‘maybe it is not God’s will for me,’ ‘maybe I’m not in the will of God,’ ‘maybe I’m not meant to be doing this.’ ‘Maybe the marriage is not the will of God,’ ‘maybe the business is not of God,’ and ‘maybe I’m in the wrong place.’

And then we begin to seek alternatives or quit. But here in the above scripture, we see that God created the heavens and the earth in the beginning… and the earth became void and without form. You see God didn’t make the earth to be without form and void, He must have made it perfect, but something went wrong.

Something negative impacted on it, which distorted it and it turned out badly, contrary to what God intended. So it means God can be involved in something, something can be God’s will and yet go wrong. Therefore, something going wrong or not going as expected does not mean it is not God’s will. Neither does it mean that God does not want you to have it.

To be continued…
