Blessed are they who hunger for righteousness for they shall be filled.

Matthew 5:6

I have not departed from the commandment of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my necessary food.

Job 23:12 NKJV

Over the last few days we have been examining the consequences of a believer’s refusal to grow into the full statute of Christ as intended by the Father.

We have looked at all the problems associated with the absence of growth. It is only right that we then examine the means through this growth can be achieved. The first is to develop an insatiable hunger to grow. “Blessed are they who hunger for righteousness for they shall be filled.”

“In the same way that nursing infants cry for milk, you must intensely crave the pure spiritual milk of God’s Word. For this “milk” will cause you to grow into maturity, fully nourished and strong for life” (1 Peter 2:2 TPT). The proof of desire is pursuit. You cannot claim to desire growth but you’re not panting after the Word of God. Your daily intake of the Word must be rich and regular.
