And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.

Genesis 2:7 NKJV

God’s most valued, highest placed creation, that is ‘Man’, was made of the dust of the earth, not with gold, diamond, or any of the precious stones we spend our lifetime acquiring. Rather, God used the dust of the earth. What is the market value of dust?

No matter how seemingly lowly valued by the society and the system of this world you are, God does not need the most expensive, most celebrated or most valuable material to make the most valued and most celebrated individual. He picked a forgotten senior spinster to birth our Messiah. He chose the grandson of a professional harlot to reign as king in Israel. He turned ordinary water into most priced wine. He used mud to treat the blind; a polluted river to cleanse a leper; by the word of His mouth heaven and earth stood; at His words demons flee, storms cease; with the sound of lepers’ footsteps He put to flight the murderous vicious army of great nations that laid a siege on Samaria; with a shout the most formidable fortress came crashing down; with the stretching forth of a rod, the great red sea parted into two.

He doesn’t need a genius to cure you, a Bill Gate to bless you, nor the president to turn your life around. He doesn’t need a dime to feed you because with the lunch box of a little lad He fed thousands. In one night and one catch, He sent Peter’s fishing business to be quoted on the stock market. You don’t need a great lofty idea to emerge as a success story, you just need His idea. What matters is His life in it, His Spirit upon it, and His Word/blessing on it. No matter the value or worth the world and society has placed on you, your career, your vision, dreams, idea, His Spirit upon you will make all the difference.

What is the worth of the dust of the earth? Look into the mirror before you give an answer. God is a specialist in using ordinary, common, seemingly inconsequential things to accomplish extraordinary feats.

I pray the breath of God will come upon your life, your dream, your idea, your business this month and beyond in Jesus name. Just as the rod of Moses became the rod of God, what is in your hand will become God’s tool for exploit in Jesus name.
