“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.

Isaiah 55: 8-9 NKJV

God is a faith God. He lives by faith, talks by faith and operates by faith, therefore to walk with Him, you have to walk with Him by faith. It takes faith to walk with God. It takes trust to walk with God. You and I must be established in His love to be able to trust Him the way we ought to. When we know He loves us then we will be able to trust Him. His ways are so far from ours, therefore, it requires a lot of trust to be able to walk with Him.

For instance, when God was going to preserve Prophet Elijah, He sent a raven to feed him. The raven is known to be a very stingy and greedy bird. You would have thought if God was going to feed someone, He would have used a more generous messenger and not a stingy one. His ways are not our ways and that’s why you need to learn to trust Him to walk with Him and enjoy His best for your life.

The way you expect Him to move, the source you expect Him to use, the method you expect Him to apply, the path you expect Him to take, may not be the way He will, but whichever way God chooses to move will always bring about a far greater blessing than you can imagine. His ways are not our ways, therefore be more open minded, trust His ways and follow His lead.

In His guidance is your provision and your preservation. In it is your promotion. Learn to trust His ways even when you don’t understand especially as we enter into the New Year ahead.
