For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.

I John 5:4 NKJV

The prerequisite for victory is being born of God, the certainty of victory is being born of God, the assurance of victory is being born of God. Whoever is born of God has already overcome the world. When Jesus overcame the world He did it for us, we were in Him overcoming with Him. We have overcome the world. Jesus said “Lo, I come and the God of this world has nothing in me.” He went on to say that the god of this world is judged already. Furthermore, He revealed “I see Satan as lightning fall from heaven.” When He shouted “it is finished,” the defeat of Satan was actually finished. The scriptures revealed having spoiled principalities and powers He made an open show of them triumphing over them in it”

“Thanks be unto God who always leads us in victory.”

You see we have victory already, long before we were ever faced with the challenge, long before we were ever confronted, long before the situation, we already have victory over them in Christ. So whoever is born of God overcomes the world i.e. lives in victory over the world, expresses and experiences victory over the world. And this is the victory that overcomes the world; not our strength, not our wisdom, not our connection, not our ability, not people’s acceptance, not people’s rejection, not our wealth , not our church commitment, not our tithe, but our faith.
