Yesterday, we established the need for us to know who is who between Jehovah and Satan. We started examining the nature of the devil and now we know who he is. Today, let’s get to know the nature of God:

1. He does not withhold good things (Psalm 84:11).
2. He gives liberally, generously (James 1:5).
3. He gives freely unconditionally (Romans 8:32).
4. His thought towards us are thoughts of good (Jeremiah 29:11).
5. He gives to all men (Acts 17:25).
6. He does not find fault or an excuse (James 1:5).
7. He calls things that be not as though they were (Romans 4:16-22).
8. He gives life to the dead (John 5:21).
9. He takes pleasure in our prosperity (Psalms 35:27).
10. His deeds/works are permanent (Ecclesiastes 3:14).
11. He does not change His mind about his gift to us (Romans 11:29).

And because He is all of these things, He expresses who He is through what He does, has done and will continue to do for us. Let us then examine what God has done:

1. He has given us Christ (John 3:16). 
2. He has paid the penalty for our sin (1 Peter 1:18-19).
3. He has qualified us (Romans 8:30).
4. He has given us ALL things (2 Peter 1:3).
5. He has forgiven our sins (Micah 7:18-19).
6. He has redeemed us (Ephesians 1:7-8).
7. He has healed us (2 Kings 20:5).
8. He made us rich (Proverbs 10:22).
9. He made us kings and priests (Revelation 1:6).
10. He became sin for us (2 Corinthians 5:21).
11. He made us righteous (Romans 3:22).

There are so much more things about His person and His doings for us than what is covered in the lists above but assuredly we can see the nature of God is that of generous willingness and gracious kindness. He has also done everything to guarantee it to us, therefore the only thing left is for us to receive all He has done for us.
